Taggart Law, P.C.
Taggart Law, P.C. was founded in 2006 by Sarah Taggart with a clear purpose. The firm was built to represent Alabama landlords.
After graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the University of the South, Sarah earned her law degree from Washington University School of Law on full academic scholarship. She returned to Huntsville and built a practice focused exclusively on landlord representation.
Over nearly two decades, she has filed tens of thousands of eviction actions across Alabama and became a recognized authority in Alabama landlord-tenant law. She is the author of the Alabama Residential Landlord-Tenant Law Form Book and teaches property managers and investors across the state.
For years the firm operated as a disciplined founder-led practice.
In April 2024, the firm expanded its statewide reach.
Holly Ray joined as Lead Trial Attorney after seventeen years representing tenants. Her experience now strengthens the firm’s litigation strategy by anticipating opposing arguments and dismantling them effectively.
Chris Booth expanded the firm’s presence in central Alabama and strengthened the firm’s creditor-side bankruptcy capabilities. His work allows the firm to represent landlords beyond possession actions and into complex financial recovery matters.
Today Taggart Law, P.C. represents landlords, housing providers, and investors across Alabama in eviction litigation, collections, creditor-side bankruptcy, fair housing defense, and lease strategy.
- We know the law.
- We keep landlords sharp.
- We litigate when it counts.
