An Alabama Landlord's Legal Resource

Education

Education & Engagement Advisor

Danielle serves as Education & Engagement Advisor at Sarah Taggart, P.C., supporting the firm’s Formbook, speaking engagements, and continuing education programs. After more than five years with the firm, she continues to assist with education and industry outreach initiatives.

Practical, Courtroom-Grounded Instruction

Sarah’s teaching is:

She teaches what actually happens in court—why cases are dismissed, how documentation fails, how small procedural errors create big liability, and how to structure systems so property rights hold under pressure. Because property rights only work when they are understood—and properly exercised.

The Alabama Residential Landlord

In 2009, Sarah authored the first version of the Alabama Residential Landlord/Tenant Law Form Book for her clients. As her courtroom experience expanded, so did the book.

It is available in two editions:

  • Property Management Edition – a structural foundation for launching or professionalizing a management company.

  • Owner’s Edition – a strong starting framework for serious self-managing landlords.

These proprietary materials are designed to function as a skeleton framework—documents that become increasingly sophisticated as they are implemented, refined, and supported by ongoing legal guidance from Taggart Law, P.C. They are intended for use in conjunction with the firm’s services and strategic counsel.

Education & Training

Sarah Taggart is, unapologetically, a property rights nerd. Not the dry kind. The animated, sleeves-rolled-up, let’s-talk-about-what-actually-makes-this-work kind. Since her second year in practice, Sarah has taught landlord-tenant law, eviction procedure, compliance, and property management systems across Alabama. She has presented realtor continuing education courses, spoken at multifamily housing conferences statewide, received three invitations to present at the Alabama Judicial Conference, and served on more expert panels than can reasonably be counted. The running joke in the office is that she would rather teach a room full of managers how to avoid an eviction than litigate the hell out of one. She’s damn fine at either.

CE Training

Team Training & Consulting

In addition to speaking at conferences, Sarah is regularly hired by:

She provides custom in-house training, onboarding sessions for new employees, policy and documentation reviews, and strategic consulting designed to align operations with Alabama law. For teams that want to reduce filings, tighten compliance, and train staff before mistakes become lawsuits, education is the most cost-effective tool available.

Important Note

Educational programs, consulting sessions, and form book materials are provided for general informational and riskmanagement purposes. Participation in a class or training does not create an attorney-client relationship, and legal advice is provided only through a formally executed engagement agreement with Taggart Law, P.C.

Live Speaking Engagements & Continuing Education Instruction

Sarah Taggart has been teaching Alabama landlord-tenant law since her second year in practice, presenting realtor continuing education courses, multifamily housing trainings, and statewide conference sessions across Alabama. A three-time invitee to speak at the Alabama Judicial Conference and a frequent industry panelist, Sarah is known for delivering Alabama-specific, statute-grounded instruction that is practical, engaging, and courtroom-informed. Her programs focus on eviction procedures, compliance strategy, documentation systems, fair housing risk, and—at the core—what makes property rights actually work in practice. (Participation in educational programming does not create an attorney-client relationship.)

Consulting Services

Taggart Law, P.C. provides strategic consulting for property management companies, ownership groups, and brokerages seeking to align their operations with Alabama law. Services include new manager onboarding sessions, in-house team training, documentation and lease reviews, policy development, risk assessments, and system design aimed at reducing filings and minimizing liability exposure. Sarah is frequently hired to train small teams and newly hired employees before preventable mistakes become litigation. Consulting engagements are customized and structured through a formal agreement with the firm.
